| Omloop Het Nieuwsblad (previously known as Omloop Het Volk) is a single-day road bicycle race held annually in the Flanders region in Belgium on the last Saturday in February or the first Saturday in March one day before Kuurne - Brussels - Kuurne. The race starts and finishes in Ghent and uses many of the climbs in the Ronde van Vlaanderen. After the newspaper Het Volk stopped publishing in 2008 and was taken over by Het Nieuwsblad the race was renamed to Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. The race is organised as a 1.HC event on the UCI Europe Tour. |
